I've been shooting for just over 2 years and I've found that I prefer landscape shots. There's so much to learn however, I feel like what I'm shooting now can change in a few years! Anyway, Photoshop is too expensive (so I've never had any experience using it) so all edits are basic in iPhoto I suppose.

I'm not seeing the photos...
Lol, and after it reloads with my comment, I can see them... go figure!

I love the arch and iguana. The dunes look slightly off color? I'm not sure, but it doesn't grab me.

Thanks Jeanne! I appreciate the comments. As far as colors on the dunes, again just contrast and some saturation and that's it. So not sure what happened. Hopefully, I'll learn it here :-)

Thanks a mil! Hard not to get something good from the Galapagos. Just point the lens and push a few times and you're bound to get something good!

I would like to introduce you to a free, but excellent, processing program called Picasa 3 (with built-in Picnic): http://picasa.google.com

Picnic is easy to use, and quite useful for this type of photography. I think your iguana is just fine, but dunes and arch can use some tweaking of exposure, contrast, & saturation. And I always sharpen my final image.

Thse are very nice images. My biggest recommendation is to lighten the areas in the shadows. You may want to look at GIMP which is a free program. Also look at Photoshop Elements it sometimes sells for $50. Also if you're student, teacher, or know somebody who is you get the Adobe products at a reasonable price. Also any these programs I recommended have a steep learning curve associated with them. Arnold
