While taking the picture of the Bess Bug (posted in close up) a neighbor came up and said "What's that?". Being a science teacher I explained about bessbugs. He the said "No, what that in you hands?" I then realized that with the flash covered with a plastic chip can tube, a ring light on the front a flip bracket with wires for the flash and wires and battery pack for the ring light, he couldn't see the camera. My ex used to say "Accessories make the outfit". I did not know what she meant until now

Lol! That is funny...made me laugh! :)
Accessories, indeed! Sometimes I wonder what my neighbors think when I am crawling on the ground with my macro set up.
Your cute story gave me a chuckle.

They think the same thing about you that they think about me.
Love your story! I think we all have a few of those, or ones where someone questions your choice of subject or lighting conditions. Fun!

The three most important words in photography: accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.
Your lucky he came over and asked and didn't just call the SWAT team.
I didn't think of that! I can just see the headlines now. "Light Ray Weapon Found" or "Radiation Weapon Hidden on Camera"

That is funny! But I'm still wondering what a "Bessbug" is. ;)
