Regarding the lens and camera I use:
Nikon D300s with a 200 - 400mm lens on an Induro tripod with a mongoose head and cable release. I'm in a blind about 60 feet from the den. I shoot manual and constantly adjust the aperture for the changing light conditions. Because of the surroundings this is usually a morning shoot.
