I have a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 I use for sports. Even without OS it performs very well. I do however use a mono-pod because of the weight and not having OS. Here is a sample

WOW that is a beautiful image you captured there.

I use this lens on a Nikon D7000, love it, quick to focus, sharp as a tack. Would recommend it. got it on sale from B & H Photo.

I purchased the Sigma 70-200 f 2.8 in Dec-2012, Use it on my Nikon D90
I love it, I get fast focus and sharp images and works very well with the Sigma 2 x teleconverter.

Unfortunately I have both the Sigma 2.8 70-200mm and the Nikon 2.8 70-200. I bought the Sigma and liked it but started reading up more on the Nikon and bought it about 3 weeks later. I like the Nikon better- faster focus and I believe sharper. Poor way to buy lenses, but live and learn!
