Well, I held myself responsible for everything in my life. I make choices and theses choices lead to consequences of my doing. And no, I am not new to this planet. This is why I consider the human race as a whole as the most destructive species and a cancer on this planet.
This is why I stopped portraiture. I concentrate on what is innocent and not man made.
I had an argument with a 'global warming being human made' beleiver. I told him I did not care, one way or another. Then he pointed out that I was recycling everything, had a compost area, used less water, less electricity (AC is turned on two months year - We live in Florida). He said my choices contradicted my statement. My response was: No, what I do is for myself, not for you, not for anyone else and certainly not to 'save the planet'. It is just the right thing to do.
Another idea that really upset a few folks. I train all my dogs to attack and I mean really attack.
WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT? The response is obvious.
Can you give it to me?

Aside from Merry Christmas and the host of other greetings around the world that basically are celebrating the same holiday, the alternatives are not necessarily indifference. The ones that jump to mind are Hannukah, Kwanza and Winter Solstice. :D :D So to cover all the bases...a Happy Holiday to all.

Alas no.
It is just that I was a dog trainer and as such I witnessed what an untrained dog can do to a person.
A trained dog can be 'instructed' to bite a specific part of a body and hold on to it.
An untrained dog will bite anywhere and repeatedly, which is way more dangerous.
But the key is:
A trained dog will stop on order. An untrained dog will not stop and even turn against its own master.
In short training a dog to attack has two purposes:
Limit the damage and make it stop!
A dog of any size is like a gun w/o safety. Training is a safety (if done correctly of course).
Note that we used our dogs for three years under the 'dog for friendship' association on Omaha, NE. We visited mainly kids wards and old folks homes.

I'm just now reading this thread and it's pretty easy to see what you are saying.
It's like when I was a little girl, my hero (my dad) told me many positive things to make life easier for me. One of those was:
"If you see someone without a smile, give 'em one"
I have only one person I don't like, so I guess I DO have an S list, but I speak to her politely. I read your post and never thought for a moment that you sounded angry. Merry Christmas.
As far as being a Christian, yes, I am proud of it, but if you are one, you don't have to tell it, your actions speak for you. (and you never should ever PUSH it on anyone)JMHO

But that does not prevent me to despise religions, religious groups, sects and so forth. These do represent not any faith but human control over poor saps who end up exploding themselves in the middle of a crowd (until a better use is found for them... Food for the wealthy?). Those groups represent tax evasion, exploitation of all kind and covered crimes. The longest living criminal organization pretends to have infallible representative of god on this earth. For over 1800 years it controls wars, finances, education, hides it's crimes, gives a false absolution and claim a sovereignty it cannot justify. Justice? Ask the Spanish Jews, the victims of forced conversion, the victims of ... Count is way too long...
On that aspect, I am beyond angry. Who are we to pretend to know everything? So, yes, the anger is against myself too but it is internal and not related to anything surrounding me, if I have had my times, it was my responsibility. God made complex critters and put them in charge... Not sure if that day he was in his right mind but then again, we are just destroying ourselves and do not do any harm to anything else. The universe will be fine.
Don't throw species extinction, pollution and the like at me. It does not work. We are killers and in the end, will kill ourselves. At that moment a new planet (that does not need to be saved) will rejuvenate and a new ecologic system will take over so... Pollute all you want kill all you want, the thing you are doing is accelerating the process, so, when the human are dead long live the roaches!!!

Another day, another hello to all folks out there -1. Yup sadly one has hit rock bottom and is added to my s*** list. One is about to get out too so who knows, anyway, in the 'fake spirit of Christmas' I'll let them all out of the box because frankly s*** list or not, I have never met these folks other that what they let see through the narrow window of internet.
This window thought is rather interesting because folks usually 'let go' of all social 'conventions' under the pretext of being anonymous. Meaning that there more truth that come out here about a person than there would be if in person.
AH!AH! I heard in the background noise. Well folks, you will be disappointed, you do not see the worse here, furthermore I am in real life what I represent here. I assume, I take my responsibilities, I persist and and I sign everything.
I do not respect 'conventions', to my wife's chagrin, I have to admit. When I speak it is with a heavy french accent (that I have always refused to correct after observing that folks who are interested onto something understand perfectly and later pretend no get my accent so I want: screw it.).
I will maintain the same speech anti religion, anti politician, anti war in front of you or anybody. I did so with a couple of ambassadors, a couple of admirals (and that just before 'desert storm', in Bahrain). Those who take me for a sheep, have no idea that instead of going to war in Afghanistan I was all for dropping a small nuke where the f**** was located at the time. THAT would have been a severe wake-up shock for any government on this planet that supports terrorists. Meaning I do not give a s**** about your lives if you don't care about mine, YOU ARE NEXT!!! How is that for a pacifist?
Contradiction? No adaptation to a new form of hidden warfare that does not care about individual but wants to shock with horror, so, let see real horror. The US is now a 'weak' target due to our level of civilization (ah!). Can you imagine the number of folks that could have been taken off the street if all the billions spent in Afghanistan had been spent on the US infrastructure and and economy? How about the trillion spent in Iraq?
Yeah, now I am a communist in the eyes of some. Trouble is I believe one deserves what he or she has. I disagree with the leveling from the bottom, making everyone else scum. If I have a beef with society, it is the sense of entitlement I see spreading all over and the lack of individual willingness to take responsibility for one's own actions.

That does not mean I rubber stamp the other party that is as full of freaks, thieves and prostitutes as the republican. What I want is a real democracy in the US. We do not have it.

Just a quick note: we never have had a real democracy here in the US and that's a good thing. Rule by mob doesn't appeal to me very much especially when an increasing percentage of today's mob is under-educated and over-coddled.
