I really enjoy taking architecture pictures and would love to see what some of you have done as well. Here are a few of mine from a recent trip to Dallas. Hope you like them and cc is welcome.
Your shots are very nice - well composed, sharp as a tack, and nicely converted. The B&W isn't done just to be in B&W, it adds a different dimension to the image. Thanks!
A couple of mine from staggering around center city Philadelphia back in July.
Comcast Center - designed to look like a USB flash drive..
The Grand Masonic Lodge, North Broad Street
The Union League Building, South Broad Street

Very nice pictures!
Are you directing that to ALL of us, or just me? LOL
Without using "Quote Reply", it's difficult to know to whom your remarks are directed. So we assume the most recent post above yours...
Thanks!
I think they are all great actually! Its very interesting how everyone's style is so different from others and I think its great!

Although I do not have any photos to add to this thread, I am enjoying it a great deal! Awesome photographs
i don't normally shoot buildings or cityscapes, but this one sorta caught my eye for the angles... city hall of Redmond, WA...

Would you mind identifying the buildings (other than the Majestic, which is obvious)? I'm just 2.5 hours from there and wouldn't mind trying my hand at them.
Thanks,
Joe
Joe,
I honestly don't remember the names of the buildings but they were all within walking distance of the art museum in downtown Dallas in the Architecture District.
Good luck and be sure to post them here if you get over there to shoot!

especially like the perspective of #3 & #4. When do you photograph so that there are no people about?
These were taken early on a saturday morning...I think around 9am. Downtown Dallas is dead on Saturday mornings...

I like all of your photos very much, but I am not an expert . Here are a couple that I took. The second one is in Barcelona, it's the other Majestic
The NYC picture is awesome...epic even. I would hang it on my wall

Years ago, OK, decades ago I was a member of the Dallas Museum of Art. One of the perks was free parking in their parking lot all day, every day. I had many a photo day in downtown Big D with that perk, more than paid for a one year membership. I also rode my bicycle down there once or twice, best way to see downtown Dallas, if you have a sturdy bike lock and bike under $1,000.
One of my favorite shots of Big D.
