Millsmote, I also recently purchased the 6D. Unfortunately you will need to update your PSE to version 11 which supports the Adobe Camera Raw version 7.x that is needed to support the new version of RAW produced by the 6D.

The Canon 6D was included in Camera Raw 7.3, which does not work on PSE10; you must update to PSE11.

Thank you Ziza, the DNG converter worked. I will use it until Adobe issues a converter for the 6D

GrahamS I followed the procedure using the help menu and updates in PSE10. The download didn't work. The DNG converted files will open in PSE10. Thanks for trying.

Millismote,
You are most welcome! It is a pleasure to help.
I need to make a clarification. Adobe is "done" with camera support for the Canon 6D. They took care of it with Camera RAW 7.3 (plug-in) and DNG Converter 7.3. Any future Camera Raw and DNG Converter updates will include your camera as well as other new cameras. Adobe has already released Camera Raw 7.4 update (Release Candidate). However, you cannot use this plug-in in PSE10. It is not compatible with this version. If you really want to use Camera Raw 7.3 (plug-in), you have three options:
1. Upgrade to PSE11
2. Purchase Lightroom 4
3. Purchase PS CS6

You're going to have to upgrade to PSE11 to get your 6D images to work in ACR. Adobe supports cameras that are released (for sale) on their current products. In other words, if a camera is first released when Adobes PSE11 is the current product, then only will PSE11 support this model, and all the previous models of cameras. They don't go backwards to PSE10 or PSE9 etc. to support new cameras.
or you could DPP disc that came with your camera , this will open the raw files then save them as dng
