Although you probably want to stick with a printer in your neck of the world, it is always good to have options. I use
www.mypublisher.com. Their print quality is superb and they have a myriad of book, theme, and page styles to choose from. And they offer some very good deals also.
Another popular photo book website is
www.shutterfly.com. But personally, I have viewed books created via Shutterfly and they don't compare to the printing quality of My Publisher.
Just some thoughts...
I'll second the thought on My Publisher. I've done a few books with them and they came out great.
What I like about them is you download their software to your computer and build your book there not out on the Internet. When you are done you send them the whole thing, pay for it, they make it and send it to you. Fairly quickly I might add.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.
Cheers,
Tim
Welcome there is nothing wrong with the Panasonic I use the Olympus E-m5 which can take the same lenses its not what you use but how you use it. As to photo books i went with vista print when i came back from the Falkland,s and the ones i have had back are rely good and don,t cost the earth .

Hi Oldvolvoman..Welcome to the site..You mention the demise of Jessops so you probably will want to go online. Vistaprint has been mentioned and they are a firm I use, they do just about everything including photobooks. My suggestion is to join Groupon in your area who will the start sending you offers. A lot of these wont be of any interest to you but they do include offers on Photobooks (Vistaprint being regular). Good luck
I also have been using Jessops Photobooks for many years with great results, so I was greatly disappointed to hear of their demise. However, although Jessops retail (stores and warehouses) has gone into receivership Jessops Photobooks is still in business. Actually Jessops was the UK portal for designing and ordering CeWe photobooks in Germany. Since the announcement I have been receiving regular e-mails from the photobook division offering the same service and with great discount deals (up to 40% off photobooks and prints). Either send them an e-mail (jessops@photo.jessops.com) or go to their web site (
http://photo.jessops.com/) or call them on 01926 456 989.
Incidentally the Jessops Photo database (containing all my previously designed photobooks) as of the beginning of March has been transferred to CeWe Color so my friends can view all of these on Facebook and Twitter.
Hope this helps.

My daughter and sister have both used shutterfly to do annual photo books and calendars. I've been impressed. Not sure about mypublisher
I have seen shutterfly's work and it was not bad at all. I have also seen good work come out of Blurb and plan to check out My Publisher after Lakegirl's glowing recommendation. The one to stay away from is Snapfish. Very flat, lifeless printing.

Don B - Are you being deliberately obtuse?
I doubt if he is being obtuse because I also had no idea what you actually meant.

Not trying to be obtuse, joust trying to get an idea of what the OP was asking! Sorry if this OM is not up to speed with all the publishing firms out there.
Thanks for that, I did not realise that part was still running. I did hear on the news this morning that Jessups has been bought and is re-opening some stores, about 30 I think. So that is good news for them and for us. It is good to save money buying online, but it is better to get "hands on" to appreciate what you are buying. Once again, many thanks for the help.
Good news folks Dragons Den Money man Jones is opening 60 Jessops shops in the high street with more to follow.
