You all have years of practice - the OP does not.

Mine is marked as using 620 film. But, having used this camera as a kid, and having gone through numerous cameras over the 60+ years of my life..... I have one real question.... Why would you want to take pictures with it? It is old, retired (much longer than me), didn't have a great lens, and was only black and white (and not that great, even at that).

It's a great display item. Allow it to Rest In Peace.

You can load your own 616 spools by rewinding 120 film onto them but you need a darkroom to do it, as it's a fiddly job.

Hi GrahamS,
Good suggestion, but as I remember it... the 616 format was a bit larger than the 120. There was the "616 and 116" (comparable sizes),which were larger than the '120 and 620'. I still have older models of each, down in what's left of my darkroom, which has mysteriously changed into a storage room, all by itself:o)
. The 616 was closer to post-card size.

Quite correct, Papa Joe. 120 spools with spacers is the way to do it. I'm thinking of 620. Apologies, it's an age thing....

This came in the mail Friday.
My wife said, "now what have you ordered?"
It was sent to me by my son's girlfriend from Florida along with a Brownie Starmite in original box.

That was the first camera (Kodak 616) I started taking pictures with, when I was ten years old. :)

I would like to take at least one half way decent shot with it and display it with the camera. No desire to use it otherwise. I am sure the cost it self would be a real good reason not to use it.
