Hi, I've just got rid of my Canon P&S. Being somewhat daunted by the bigger cameras, I opted for a Panasonic GF3. Please, stop laughing! It has changeable lenses, F stops (whatever they are!) and all manner of stuff I have no idea about. But, I am learning!! Now my question is, where can I get a "photo book"? I don't use iPhoto. I am in the UK. Jessops, a camera shop that has gone bankrupt, did do them but not anymore! Can anyone recommend somewhere! Regards - Oldvolvoman

Just what is your image of a "photo book?" An instruction manual for the camera or a coffee table book of your photos?

Just put "Photo books" in the Yahoo search engine.

Although you probably want to stick with a printer in your neck of the world, it is always good to have options. I use www.mypublisher.com. Their print quality is superb and they have a myriad of book, theme, and page styles to choose from. And they offer some very good deals also.

Another popular photo book website is www.shutterfly.com. But personally, I have viewed books created via Shutterfly and they don't compare to the printing quality of My Publisher.

Just some thoughts...

Thanks Lakegirl. Will have a look at your suggestions. And will take into consideration the quality issue. Global positioning in these digital days will not be an issue! Regards - Oldvolvoman

Hi OVM, I was thinking that the cost of shipping the book(s) to you would likely be more expensive coming from the states, if you used My Publisher, rather than a photo book company in the UK. But who knows, My Pub could have a printing plant in the UK...

Since I am the "recorder of life" to my family and friends, I love the creative process of making a photo book to commemorate special events or holidays. They make great, thoughtful gifts that are ALWAYS appreciated. From the hands through the heart, I say.... Good luck! :-)

Go on amazon and type "digital photography for beginners".
A popular author is Scott Kelby, but it comes in 3 volumes.

Subscribe to Groupon for your area who regularly have deals on photobooks. Vistaprint is good but there are many around online.
