Jo you are one very special woman and only here by the grace of God and a hard but good choice you made. So glad things turned out the way they did. God blessed you and you are a blessing to him. Thanks for posting. Just in case you don't know it, there are not many women in this world today that are like you.

There is a great need for stories about good folks. True, salt of the earth, straight up, honest folks who go with their heart. Thank you for starting my morning with a great smile. And congrats on your fortitude. A real blessing indeed.

I'm at a loss for words; a rare event for me, but you're an Alabama girl, so I'm not surprised. I wouldn't have expected less. Ya done good, Jo.

23 years ago this morning, I had cancer. By afternoon, it had been removed. I knew for a long time that I had it, but there were sick and dying parents 5 hours away that I had to see about, so I made a deal with THE BOSS that if He would let me take care of them first, then I'd go see about ME. It was
4 1/2 years before I could take the time off. After they were both gone, I went and my Dr (who is also a good friend) had FIT!!!! He still wants to know how long I had that grapefruit sized cancer before I brought it in! I will never tell him! BUT BUT BUT...wait a minute, that's not all.
He came into my room after surgery and stared at me for a while. When I fianlly said "WHAT?" expecting the worst, he said "I don't know what you did right, but when I got in there, I found that the cancer had a large mass built around it! That kept it contained." I told him about my "deal" and he said "OK, we both know who built that mass". 23 year cancer survivor. Not too shabby!!!!

Wonderful. You have an amazing God and an amazing surgeon. Stay blessed, and thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much John. My Dr is indeed a good one, but he is very aware of who guides his hands.

I often tell people "I would rather live my life as if there is a God and find out there is not, than to live it as if there is NO God and find out there is."

Although I do believe in God (for the want of a better name) I found your quote very uplifting and so true

They say that God works in mysterious ways, and you're living proof of that.

God Bless

Gerry, yes He does work in mysterious ways and to think all we have to do is trust Him to do that! Our faith tells us to hand it to Him, ask Him to take care of it HIS way and then trust Him to do it. Thank you so much.

Isn't it wonderful that God gives us exactly what we need exactly when we need it? God is Good!

When I look around and see the beauty, I know that there has to be a God. No monkeys could create this. Then I thank him for camers...He knew no one could see it all, so he made sure someone invented a way to show us.
When I go, I know my light will come on.

But we are not wrong, what great hope we have.

We can't be wrong. We know we are right every time we look through the lens and see His beautiful creations.
