Editing P&S photos

Hi and another newbie here! I have tried several times to send a message with photos attached and I do not seem them...does anyone else?

And yes I read the FAQ's. I am using Windows 7 now if that will make any difference and I've uploaded and posted tons of photos elsewhere but none of my tricks nor experience is serving me well. After I press the browse button a little interactive blank window pops up between the browse window and the longer non-interactive window.
