Based on everything I've seen and read . . . . go for it!!! I tried for weeks to land a deal on eBay, to no avail. I finally bought the Nikkor 10-24.

I own this lens. It is tack sharp. Use it on Nikon D7000. It is absolutely a no regrets lens. You will love it.

I have one and love it. Owned i t for about a year now and pics come out really sharp. I also have a D300. Don't use this lens everyday but when I want to shoot wide then this is the lens to use. You can do some crazy shooting with this lens. Get it if you have a chance

How do you like it for travel? Going to London,Paris,and Rome soon. Plan on doing night shots in cities. Also taking nifty fifty with me.

I think it would be great for travel. It's not too heavy with a very short zoom stroke. I would bring other lens unless your going to shoot all wide angle.

Also going to carry my 70-200 VRII. Could bring my 18-200 f/3.5. That should cover my needs.
