Rufe, is the road shot toned in any way or is that just extended processing? By the way it is a gorgeous image.

Bushido, I'm in need of a little education. What do you mean by extended processing if I may ask? As always I've got a lot to learn and I'm reaching the age where I better start learning it fast.

That Saturday night date w/ kids and grandkids was at an arts festival downtown called Luminaria 03.09.13. Got a simple shot of ....

grands around a "faux-fire"

Thanks cricket: I have given up trying to get 'nice' face shots of the grands - they were into making faces ! So, got them to 'pose' with their footwear instead - which they did willingly! Busy balancing on a wall . . .

Suejay - Love the feet/shoe shots - intriguing, makes one guess what else is going on, i like it a lot

pg 31

amyinsparta - love the cat's eye - well done

jfan - i like your simple creations with all the color

Fuzzycoach - Bad Hair Day is well done - I like it

jimber - love them - the "singing" gull made me smile. He was probably eating though

RR - i love your RR track shots - simple and sweet

Fuzzycoach - love singing for supper

DB - I really love looking at flames, so many things to see in them

pg 32

judy - that flower sure is pretty

PatO - love the top edge. purposeful flare is cool also

lhammer, When using some of the software in post production it will change the image in different ways. Intentionally over contrast will get one result while to much sharpening gets another. Each program handles this a little differently and that is why I asked, some times it is hard to tell what was done. The best thing I can pass along to you is take a picture and take to the extremes in each one of the processes of your program and see what the results are. Then start combining them to see what will happen. Experience is knowledge.
