A few pic's from my recent cruise taken with NIKON Coolpix P510
How did you get that first shot? Did you miss the boat? They are all nice clear photos.
Was that a boat coming in ? You caught it great.
Thanks for sharing.
I also love my Nikon P510

Lovely series. Always wanted to take a cruise but after the incident with the broken down cruise ship not sure I want to go anymore.
What cruise ship were you on? Lovely photos by the way.
Those are great! Very beautiful shots! I bet it was amazing to see in person.

I can't wait for my cruise in June. I'm sending myself to Alaska (first time there) for my birthday...bought a new lens to bring along and I might rent one too.

I will, but I probably can't afford too many...the cruise alone is costing me roughly 2 1/2 months net pay and the lens was another $350 after rebate (I only work part time). One thing I'll probably do, at least I'm thinking seriously about it is a 4-hr professionally-led photography tour, led by a guy on UHH. I'd need to take a ferry from one of my stops to a neighboring town and back, but I have 11 or 13 hrs in port so I should be fine. I'd also like to do some whale watching, ride up the Yukon Pass, zipline, .... Some other year I will have to do the interior.

sounds like you have a great time all planned out
enjoy your trip!
we did a cruise tour where we were on the ship for 7 days and then on land by bus and train for 5 more days. We lucked out and had beautiful weather every day. Went with a group of 18 friends. I was kind of the only photographer in the group, so they had me make them all a CD afterwards. A good time

I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to AFFORD all those things, but I'd LIKE to do them...of course I could use my credit card and do everything I could possible want to, but then I'd have to figure out a way to pay for it afterwards :)
When I went to Honduras with my church for a mission, I was the only photographer allowed into the inmate section of the federal penitentiary where we went to deliver Bibles. There were also two videographers from the church there too. I went with about 25 other people and also did feedings and delivering clothing. Groups from our congregation go there twice a year.
That first pic is a cruise ship pulling in to port right behind us. The ship i was on was "Independance of the Sea's" Royal Caribbean. The ship itself is just amazing. For me, that was my first cruise and i give it a 10/10.Can't wait to go again.I was on the deck at 6am most mornings waiting for the sun to come up. I ended up with almost 800 pic's from the whole cruise.
