Even if the poster is wrong,I believe in the freedom to voice an opinion. But some of the remarks are starting to err on the side of nasty. sorry but I had to say it.

I agree.

Don't you guys remember all the stores were closed on Sundays, or was that too long ago.

There are all types in this world my friend and not everyone is required to believe as you, the only requirement is to be respectful.

Respectfully,

flightdog

I do not believe this post was ever a debate. In order to have a debate there need to be two sides to the subject. There is no other side to the OPs comments. Except for the original post I have not seen any comment that is anti-religion.

The OP stated, very clearly, his attitude toward a specific business and religion. Everyone else is expressing there opinion towards the posters comment. Free speech, plain and simple. I do not believe referring to someone as a bigot after they have made an obviously biggoted statement, is nasty or out of line.

Unfortunately there are a number of people participating on UHH who cannot respond without resorting to name calling. If this post was in General Chit-Chat, where it belongs, the responses would have been far nastier than they are here.

Send them a copy of the New Testament and maybe they'll convert. By the way, you're an idiot.

I think you'd better make your point by not being rude .

Bill... sorry. I dragged myself down to his extremely low level!

Freedom of opinion, yes, but not in this column.

How so?

The poster made a statement. Everyone else posted an opinion pertaining to his statement. I don't get your point.

The people at B&H have exactly the same freedom of religious observance as you do. That is not “imposing” anything on anybody. They are a very fine store; in nearly 30 years of dealing I have not had a single problem. They are the only mail-order store about whom I can say this. Please note that nobody is “imposing” doing business with them on you; you are free to take your business elsewhere and I rather suspect they would be happy if you did so.

I just tried to order something from B&H. Their site told me they don't accept online orders till 7PM on Saturday. I understand the reason: they are Jewish and observing their Sabboth. While I agree that in the U.S. they are welcome to do so I am also welcome to not have them impose their religious beliefs on me. So I'll never try to order from them again.

What an absolutely inane post. And BTW, it's Sabbath and burqa. What do we care who you order from? I have, and will continue to use B & H as my primary provider.

I'm glad to say here in the UK there would'nt be this kind of behaviour as we have a law in place for ALL employers to employ a certain amount of people from all different ethnic groups, how is it in the USA?

This is just for information. I fully expect everyone in the U.S. to be free to make their own decisions on this type of thing.

I won't have my wife wear a burrkah either.
I just tried to order something from B&H. Thei... (show quote)

This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever read. They are not even close to "imposing" their beliefs. If a store is closed on Sunday, are they imposing anything on anyone?

Anyone who has been in the photographic field for more than a few weeks knows the B&H policies. Hardly a big deal.

You have come out of your closet - you are a bigot. I am so disappointed in you.

I'm thinking he regrets his post. Yesterday I posted some Tech Terms in Chit-Chat. This is one of them.

Ohnosecond: That fraction of a second it takes to realize that you’ve goofed, for example sending an email to the wrong person, or forgetting to send the attachment.

Ah, a breath of fresh air. I think you are right Jerry and here's proof. Enjoy the pic!
