I think I used Topaz Clean or Simplify or both.Adjust is also very interesting for many different effects. The Topaz software cost is reasonable but I warn you,you will spend a lot of time playing with your photos.

Time well spent, I'd say! Photoshop Elements already keeps me occupied. I got a 30 day free trial of Clean, Simplify & Adjust. Let the fun begin!

They are fabulous. My favorites are #1, 3, 5. What a cool program. Does CS5 do anything like that?

No,you are not weird,I like the deer as well. The idea about the different look (than e.g. the cartoon houses) was to make it look more like oil painting than watercolor. The deer could be turned into cartoon look without any problems but you just cannot cover all styles with one photo at once.Thanks.

I am not really into much of postprocessing and do not have CS5.I suppose it may work if you know how.My Photoshop knowledge is limited to the basic operations with Elements6 and I want to keep it that way.I should add the Topaz software is not really designed with photo to painting purpose in mind, there are different programs like Dynamic autopainter etc just for that.
In the Dynamic..... you can select even what famous painter style you want to use.Thanks.

I really like that Topaz integrates with PhotoShop Elements. Is just another choice on the Filters Menu. Very easy to use and like the effects I've been able to create so far.

I am glad you are satisfied and I agree plug-ins are very handy.
After I bought my first Topaz I liked it so much I went for most of the rest.
