Hello all! I am finally coming out of lurk mode.
I've been shooting for two years, so I am a total newb. I started with a small cheap point and shoot, and as the addiction took hold move on to a Nikon 5000, a several lens.
I've taken a few photography classes, and joined a local club. I've also been encouraged to "do something" with my photography passion.
Thing is, I dont know what to do. I'd love to make money, but dont have the know how (or the confidence) to ask money for my pics. Where to start? sigh.
I've included a sampling of some of my favorite shots. I've done some pet portraits, as well as wildlife and nature shots. I've recently dabbled in some high speed water drop photography (what FUN!).
Comments, feedback and critque are welcome, but please do not edit.

Welcome...
The sparrow is great. Good crop. I like the way the branch angles across the frame. The whites are white and the grays are detailed. you have good bokeh while still preserving enough sleet detail to let us know whats going on.
George for some reason just isnt cutting it for me. He's a bit out of focus (I think its a depth of field issue) and he just isnt drawing me in to the photo.
The hawk is spot on for focus and color.
I like the flower field as a color study...very nice depth of filed here.
The water drop capture is an awesome shot.
You've got a good eye. Keep posting for us to see
Paul
Thanks.
I have lots to learn, and am looking forward to doing so.
Welcome. I had been wanting to display/sell my photos at a flea market here in Minnesota. After 2 years I finally did it. In 2012 will be our 3rd year at the largest flea market in Minnesota. A good way to start is to enter a fewe photo contests. I started out at one of the county fairs and my 1st photo I showed took a 4th. Last year I was "Senior Reserve Champion". I also went "out" of the box and set up at a farmer's market. Next weekend I am at my 3rd craft fair in a month. Lots of luck and keep shooting. You may pm me if you need further information. shn
mmm. Those are a few ideas that I havent considered.
Thanks!
