The weekend challenge can be interpreted 2 different ways, and I hope you will try both ways......

First, when taking a photograph of someone, how do you bring life to their eyes and capture the personality and essence of the photo that you would like to capture?? What do you want us to know about the person????

Beautiful girls and great challenge! I love the interpretation of Juli's strength of character and racing through life with barely a backwards glance! My first photo is of a very dear and close friend who has been through unimaginable pain and sadness this past year but still her beauty and strength shines through - so I'd give this one the title of "Survivor Eyes" The second is a bit of fun as half a dozen of our party are reflected in her eyes! The third is myself with one of my pups about to fly the nest - they are happy eyes knowing we'd done a good job and found them excellent loving, forever homes and the last, I hope speaks for itself:-)

all are great but that little girl has the most amazing eyes ever--the boys will be calling in a few years for sure

[quote=suejay50]Been away for the weekend - Number one son's birthday!

See after a quick flick through the site that it is Bushido and Sher's as well...

So, many Happy Returns to you both from damp old England!

Age is just a number..... dont clog the brain trying to remember numbers! Be happy....enjoy the moment.

The best time is NOW...

Congratulations on the birthday celebration of your son and this is a nice card for our two birthday kids here on the hog!

Maine's Contribution to eyes today....

These animals are so important to Maine that they are allowed to vote.

Pat & Pea...familiar?

I love places like this. I need to go back to the one near here and take new shots, my first ones were not good.

Still thinking of the 2nd part of the challenge…My eye was taken with the after-blizzard beauty, the exuberance of enjoying the snow - no matter that it nearly came to his waist - and I wanted to capture that. There's a beauty in winter here that begs you to get out and experience it. It was a beautiful day.

so cute Pat - glad the blizzard is over and wish you weren't having more bad weather on the way

I just purchased Olympus Studio 2 today, it allows you to capture tethered photos, I just wished it showed the scene on the screen before you capture the photo. it is kind of hard to capture a good self portrait when you can't see what the camera sees LOL. Anyway here are a few shots, I cropped one for this challenge. Trust me they are not great but I just figured I'd post them anyway.

those are pretty neat jfan
