Very pretty...What's the story of the timber downed?

My daughter and I went on a short hike in Boulder last weekend. This area is one of the spots where the forest fires struck last year...

Our friends lost everything and escaped with only the clothes on their back - he didn't even get shoes on. Burned to the ground. Grandson saw fire at the rear of the house and alerted them. Probably saved their lives. Now with all the snow coming, they can't even look through what's left. I cannot imagine.

PATo: I am so sorry about your friends but I thank God that their grandson saw the fire in time to warn them.

p 29. YES!

Good morning Pat.. I know your heart must be sad for your friends.. I am so glad they are safe.... Hope the storms are not too bad and go away soon...

Have not been around much today, lots going on but I did sneak out a bit tho.

Now these pics were taken in sub-zero weather and not a cloud in the sky as you will notice. Now this blue makes agreat background and really enhances the contrasting colours.

RR...love that red roof against the bright sky

Like many of my pics, here's the story on that. THis house is on a small farm and it is empty, but clean as a whistle. The owner is an old guy who is an antique car dealer and goes there every weekend but never sleeps there. He lives maybe 25 miles from there too. He has maintenance done by others and in the summer there are flowers all over the place.

Interesting story......that pic also grabbed my eye.

Wow...you would never know noone lives there. I know you will show up pics of it in the summer!

Most would take sky shots for granted. Yet each is unique and is ever-changing subject. I like them all.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and good wishes for our friends. They will need them. Meanwhile, storm #1 has begun early and it is causing enough trouble. Main event not due till early afternoon and then into tomorrow. Sky? what sky? This is what's happening right now out my windows. Need to get busy and do all the chores that require electricity. But, when I think of my friends, the storm and power outages means very little in the "bigger picture" of life.

I know you aren't really looking forward to this weather
