I'm kinda new and don't even know what HDR means, but I still have an opinion.
They're both excellent photos, but #1 is sort of "matter of fact" if that makes sense. It's nice but doesn't grip me.
The HDR is a very moody scene and is somehow complements my personality. I vote for this one, but I like them both.

If you would have checked the (store original) box we could have downloaded them both and gave a more accurate citique. As is I like the first one!
