Leading lines: When we look at a photo our eye is naturally drawn along lines. By thinking about how you place lines in your composition, you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subject, or on a journey "through" the scene. There are many different types of line - straight, diagonal, curvy, zigzag, radial etc - and each can be used to enhance our photo's composition.

These are great both sets. We watched the blue angels in Hawaii back in 2004. I was taking pictures with a 2 megapixel phone camera LOL.

Here are three taken during the last floods - the river overflowed under the road bridge and over the railway.

Ok.. I was all prepared for this last week for hump day and then I realized that it wasn't our (twin Jims') time to host LOL. I almost trampled all over poor Annette. I didn't even realize it until after I had already posted the link so I just changed it but didn't get any hits on it so I will go for round two.... As follows

I was trying to think of a subject I hardly seen before and something I can hone my own skills on so I though of this challenge although it is kind of two challenges in one.

Viewpoints are a great tool for us in photography if you use them properly. Before photographing your subject, take time to think about where you will shoot it from. Our viewpoint has a massive impact on the composition of our photo, and as a result it can greatly affect the message that the shot conveys. Rather than just shooting from eye level, consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on. I prefer this challenge to be from the high point just to make it a challenge.

Leading lines: When we look at a photo our eye is naturally drawn along lines. By thinking about how you place lines in your composition, you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subject, or on a journey "through" the scene. So let's see what you all come up with, I would like to see at least one photo that has both viewpoint and leading lines in the same photo..... Am I cruel or what!!

Most important LET'S HAVE A BLAST!!!

These are some from my nature walk a couple of weeks ago to one of My favorite places. I was in search of Eagles because they hang out here during the winter because they love trout, it's thier favorite food.... But I didn't run into any.
Ok.. I was all prepared for this last week for hum... (show quote)

Here is one i took with Bushido on Sunday. The week before i had gone to our local lighthouse and the results were terrible so was happy for a second chance....thank you Bushido and GDWSr :-)

That is so awesome! Can't wait to see photos of the finished studio! I want a studio so bad. I have this idea that I might buy another trailer (flat bed) and build me a portable studio. My concept is using chroma key photography as one choice and have some backdrops too. I am still working on ideas for props and things like that but I would really love to do a mobile studio. The reason for chroma key is so that people have the choice of any background subject they want.

Just an idea....
