Shots like those are why I joined the forum. Well maybe some
day I'll get there. I have been working on a local hawk for two weeks now and I can't get him still long enough to shoot or I am working and don't have my camera. Lucky you he stays with you all day. mdh
Wonderful shots. Really clear and crisp.

I was working out in the yard yesterday and this beauty decided to hang out for a very long while. First in one Oak. Then another. Then to my neighbors yard. Then the power pole in the back. Then to the Sycamores in the front.
It was a pleasure to have his company for most of the day.
lovely and crisp

Beautiful shots Shane! How come they call some hawks "red tail" and this one "red shoulder" when I can't see any red at all?

WOW Guys!!! Thank you ALL so very much for your kind words! They rally mean alot to me. I would love to thank each and every one of individually but I think that would take up to much space.
THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!
Sailorsmom if you want to look at the links below you will see the difference between the two. I may have made a mistake in ID'ing this one. First years are difficult for me to tell apart.
See the red tail?

Thank you! I will see what I can do for the encore! Trying to find my pair of Ospreys from last year. Haven't been able to find them yet!
you got it!
i've been lucky enough to have spent some great time with the oregon falconer's assn., (quite the interesting group) so your captured images were certain to catch my raptor watchers eye.
novice, general, then master!
