The first image is a HDR comprised of 5 photos processed through Photomatix. These were taken handheld using a Nikon D800e
The second image is a cropped enlargement of the lightpost from the center.
I submit these to address the concerns of many that have said that the D800 should only be used from a tripod.

Nice shot! Every time I read threads on this it makes me wonder if the people making these comments actually use this camera or are judging it from what they read. I have taken shots handheld (D800) from 1/250 down to 1/15 sec. with excellent results.
