Hi Country's Mama, here is a shot of the baffle I used to take the shot. My flash & camera both set to manual mode flash setting very low. (don't remember how low as I kept adjusting it)
So all I did was first make espresso! It's gotta be real. Set up the cup and beans on the old shelf from son's bookcase. Then directed the flash through the baffle at an angle that would cast the right light that I was looking for. It took a few tries and because it was a concentrate beam of light everything else just fell to black. It's like using a snoot sometimes I use the the soft case that fits over your lens as a snoot works pretty well but I couldn't find it this time hence the baffle.
This picture was taken with iPhone.
Hope I explained this well enough.

Thank you. I don't believe I have ever seen or heard of a baffle. Back to google for me. Impressive that it was taken with an iphone. Those little cameras are getting better and better.
