Been getting some nice comments on the pictrues I post, so I thought you might like these.
The stacks of colored paper are used for burning.
During the upcoming Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), people will burn a bundle of paper to remember their loved ones who have passed away. It is believed the smoke carries the money to heaven, so their loved ones have money in the after life.
Other pictures include a coal fired power plant, a bicycle garbage cart, and a street sweeper clearing the roads of a recent snowfall.
Since it only snows about a half an inch, the city does not use plows.
nice set like the oranges on street, thanks for sharing

They are not oranges. Some other kind of fruit I have not had the courage to buy. Not sure what to do with them if I bought a few.

I do enjoy seeing the reportage type shots from these countries, they add interest to the site.
I like your street scenes. the parked bike with basket is interesting as is the ingenuity of the street sellers.
