Thank you Ann...thought of you, covered bridge y'know.
Ha! I think your esp is at work!!!! I was saving this one, not sure if a shadowy interior would qualify. Yours has sharpness and distinct shadowy shades within. Here's mine, more subdued within, taken earlier this week when a detour led me to this covered bridge.
Perlin, FYI the closer the light source is to the subject the less defined the shadow and the further away the greater the shadow's definition. By the way what part of Ohio do you live. I am hoping to come to Ohio this summer or early fall.

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been around very much the last few days. Have been extremely busy and a little under the weather. It is 11:38 here so I am still on time. At least on my time. I since the starting day of this challenge is Ground Hog's Day what better topic then shadows. We had one nice day this week and then it began raining and snowing so there has not been much sunshine. Couldn't get any really good shots but this is what I came up with. Can't wait to see your shots.
pg 1 I like yours a lot but a suggestion is to do a little cropping and maybe can you play with the contrast a little to make that shadow pop... do you have a program to do it... I really like the tea pot... I think I will have some sleeptime now! great idea!

I worked on the teapot and this is what I came up with. I do like it better. I will work on the others tomorrow. It is getting pretty late tonight.

Our wind and rain storm of a previous day were big movers as it got the ice started breaking up and moving out of the river. shadows on the observation deck was a good place to start yesterday and then the deck afforded me a good viewing location of the ice layered and stacked along the shoreline.
Wow! We are expecting 3 to 6 in. of snow today. Nothing like you have. Stay warm and safe. Your pics are beautiful.

p1 Great start Perilin. You can always post again. Thank you for hosting and starting regardless. And I did like what you did with the teapot in the later post.

Thanks Pat! Aelone gave me an idea when she mentioned it would look nice on a card. This is my card I came up with for Valentine's Day.
