Sad story here.....They found this car way back in the local outdoor movie lot with a couple who died from hypothermy. Apparently they went to see ''Closed For The Winter''

Just a little red - early morning after yesterday's storm and on my way into "the city". A slow but beautiful ride - bumper to bumper at this spot. Weathervane pointing "up" guess that means watch out as more flurries are coming later today or tomorrow.

Yeah I know but I saw the car ''put up'' for the winter and clicked it as it is red, and that idea popped into my head....

A good story teller is one who has a good memory and hopes that his listeners do not. :lol:

that is funny.....i write and delete sometimes too...

that is like what happen to Long Beach Island NJ...and Seaside..they were just little quaint places with litte beach cottages until NY got priced out of Long Island...they knocked down the little cottages and built mcmansions on the beach...sadly i have little sympathy for those second home owners who lost property...on the other hand some permanent locals at the LBI trailor park got wiped out and were told to demolish the trailors and get off the property so the owner could sell. just awful.

I don't drink often but when I do it is a brandy. The heck with Dosakes or however it is spelled. :lol: :lol:

How are you doing in your new place?

I'm all for a good shot of bourbon myself.

And I miss my mountain and trees... and cities are so NOISY!!!! How can these folks even think!!!! But, Katie and I have found a park close-by, and they have trees there so it's not all bad. Technology almost....almost...makes up for it, but technology is too noisy too!! I think I much prefer my mountain and the peaceful sound of the wind in the pines and a brook gurgling by.

And you know what I find hilarious?? Down here, I am near the Yadkin River, but everything is named Brook something ...Brookhaven, Meadowbrook...etc. There's not even a small tributary of water anywhere near here...and back home, where creeks and ravines with water running through were everywhere, we never named places brook or creek or river...unless it WAS a creek or river. Something about city life must really scramble people's brains.
quote=pjreed :) br br I don't drink often but w... (show quote)

What I don't like are the city folks moving out here to get away from the city and bringing the city with them, bright lights, loud music. The attitude that we live in the country and we can do what we want.

I got off on that one. Had to delete 5 paragraphs. :lol: :lol:

Nobody is afraid of retribution.
