Hey, Rac, let's take this discussion a little sideways, but still keeping it basically on religion.

What is a human soul?
Where do souls come from, and are they finite in number or unlimited?
Do you believe in reincarnation (ie, an old soul in a new body)?
Do you believe in resurrection (of the flesh; will the resurrected have a human form as we have today)?
Do animals have souls?
Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?
Do you believe you will be reunited (physically) with those who have died? Or those who will die in the future?
Will pet owners be reunited with their dearly loved pets?
When is "The End of Existence" and "The Beginning of the Everlasting?"
Am I sinning by asking these (and many more) questions?

Hey John, that is a lot of questions to answer.

Easy:

Q: What is a human soul?
A: No such thing

Q: Where do souls come from, and are they finite in number or unlimited?
A: No such thing

Q: Do you believe in reincarnation (ie, an old soul in a new body)?
A: No

Q: Do you believe in resurrection (of the flesh; will the resurrected have a human form as we have today)?
A: No

Q: Do animals have souls?
A: No

Q: Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?
A: No

Q: Do you believe you will be reunited (physically) with those who have died? Or those who will die in the future?
A: No (unless your cemetary plot is next to someone else).

Q: Will pet owners be reunited with their dearly loved pets?
A: No

Q: When is "The End of Existence" and "The Beginning of the Everlasting?"
A: When you die, and never.

Q: Am I sinning by asking these (and many more) questions?
A: Depends on your religion. I am not sinning by answering them.

Do you believe in the existance of ufos/uaps and non human intelligence on this planet?
Please follow the same logic you apply to christians/atheists.

I strongly believe in your right to believe in whatever you want, in peace. You don’t have to prove anything to me, unless you want me to believe what you believe in. I choose to believe that god is a figment of a creative imagination to control people. No one has proven to me, nor have I seen any facts that prove otherwise.

Your approach in communicating with people has typically been caustic and nasty. You are not a nice person. If you are a person of god, you certainly do not behave like one. You are an angry elf. Where is the god in you?

Thank you. I agree. The content of his response or lack there of, are both predictable.

Ok then prove your claim.

I don't have to prove the negative. You are bound, however, to prove the positive.

I think you have this flipped. To prove the existence is the positive and to prove the lack thereof is the negative. I think the onus of proof is on you.

No, Robert, he's got it right.
For instance: I believe that the earth is inhabited by invisible cats.
Now you prove it isn't.
I'll wait. Thank you.

I stated that God did not exist, because there's no proof-positive he(she) does. It's incumbent on the person(s) who allege that he/she does to provide that proof. So far, respondents have only been able to provide their spiritual beliefs, no positive proof.

Then why make a definitive claim if you can not back up that claim with evidence. It's just as irrational to make a definitive claim that there is no God as it is to make the claim that there isn't. To make a claim that there is no God you either have to have evidence of such a claim or you have to have all knowledge that is available in the universe or in existence. So if you make a claim that there is no God then you must put this all knowledge or have such evidence to prove it.

You're half right and you're half wrong. The first part of your response is definitely wrong.

That's not the way logic works. If your side posits the existence of something that can only be imagined, then the burden of proof is on your side.

No. In this faith-based discussion, the way this works is I don't have to prove anything to you, nor do you have to prove anything to me, unless as someone said you can convince me to believe what you believe in. I know the position non-believers have and as I said, I'm not wasting time trying to convince you otherwise. That said, I'd still like to get an answer on what the "proven science" is that pendennis referred to. If this is true, then it shouldn't be too hard to prove. Perhaps you can help him out.

I tried grabbing one of those cats and I got slapped.
