Further research:
The small red fox (Vulpes vulpes) has slit pupils and multifocal lenses. Its large relatives, the grey wolf (Canis lupus lupus) and domestic dogs (Canis lupus familiaris), have round pupils.
Foxes can hunt at night better... While pack animals like wolves and dogs hunt mostly during the day....Nature's animal world is always soooo fascinating!
