My watch is the only device that came with a C charger end. I bought a pair of cables with A connectors on the ends.
You'll see it more as you update your devices.
The EU has mandated USB-C in all cellphones, and this time they didn't give Apple an exemption -- so no more Lightning cable for any future iPhone. USB-C is taking over, and it's just a matter of time until everything USB is USB-C. Even car chargers (cigarette lighter socket chargers) are adopting USB-C (often called PD, or power delivery), usually as part of a dual-connector scheme that for now also includes USB-A.
But we have yet to see USB-C make major inroads on home computers, at least for peripherals like mouse and keyboard. Seems odd to think of a wired mouse with a USB-C connector, but it's no more odd than when we made the switch from PS/2 connectors to USB-A.
What I'm especially hoping for is an end to pesky barrel connectors, but I'm afraid they'll be around for a while on devices that are made to run on or charge at a rate that's not USB-compliant.
Anyone that remembers high school physics will remember the "right hand rule", this isn't about masterbation. The magnetic flux around the cable is the carrier of the power and not the cable. This has been proven over and over again. The size of the cable determines the load in amps. larger cables ccan cary larger loads but then there is fiber optics and don't forget Microwaves!
