Great work, Dennis. Interesting array of shots. I've learned a lot about your neck of the woods through your photography and comments.

Thank you very much black mamba for a very positive comment.

You may be interested in knowing I moved to Idaho Falls after seeing some photos from a member who has since passed away. I saw he was from Idaho Falls and asked him through private messages how he liked the area and so on. He gave me his honest opinion and that led me to driving up from Southern CA to take a look. I found probably the best realtor I have ever known and bought a house a few weeks after. This really is a beautiful area especially for trout fishing/fly fishing. It is also a firearm friendly state which also tugs at my common sense. I see numerous people carrying and never once have I felt any fears from anybody with a firearm. For me this is my slice of heaven.

Did I mention photographic subjects abound?

I love the name, "Snake River" and have always assumed it must be a great river. I have never seen it. Is it great? I hope so.

Thanks for taking a look PhotoMono123. Much appreciated. Yes the Snake River is a beautiful river thought not huge like the Mississippi or maybe Columbia. But it has some rich western history in the founding of America. On October 16th 1805 the Lewis and Clark Expedition reached the confluence of the Snake River and the Columbia Rivers.

In some places it has heavy rapids and is very deep while in other places it is shallow and moves along slowly. It has numerous types of fish to catch including many types of trout, catfish and sturgeon, BIG sturgeon. I took photos of our local Fish and Game planting two sturgeon in the area of Shelley, ID about 10 miles South of me. They were about 8 feet long but there are bigger.

Come take a look sometime. I don't think you will be disappointed. If you are in the area please let me know. I would love to meet you. A plus for me is Yellowstone National Park is 2 hours or less from my door. The drive from here to there is also beautiful.
