Thanks for your kind comments on my shots.

Thank you, Ducky! Your visits always make my day! Do you have a real name, or do you always go by your stage name

Yes, Coyotes have adopted very well to urban environments. There was a program on PBS a while ago about how Coyotes have adopted to several large North American cities. I think they highlighted New York, and somewhere else as well as Toronto. Note that the Coyotes that they've been seeing in Canadian cities, many of them are larger and more aggressive, having, they believe, bred with Wolves.

I always have to do a triple take with the ones I see since they look like somebody's dog, only a little more raggedy.
IMHO, they look extremely intelligent, and I think the programs back that up

Superb shots, and that GC shot blew me away - something we see so beautifully in color shots also looks exceptional without any color at all 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤

You are too kind, Joe. I began doing my own darkroom work in B&W way back in 1968. I still dabble, but it certainly is a lot easier with the new technology. 😁

A Kildeer decide to build a nest next to the drive into the building where I work. Don't worry, the nest is on landscape rocks where no one drives, though it is close

Pat, thanks for giving us the impetus to think more about the beauty that is all around and our need to protect it. There are so many areas already being so protected. I have a few examples that may demonstrate.

My favorite place to play as a child was any mound of dirt or the dirt that was under our back porch. Today you would look at me and think, "It figures" 🤓🤓🤓

I have NEVER seen a killdeer nest. I hear the birds and see them frantically flying to distract from the nest but never see a nest. They certainly know how to camo but they live precariously!
