This is the first time I have seen a Cormorant in Waikiki..he was circling Ala Moana Beach Park and then would dive into the water and up again and repeat the same thing over and over again .. I had my D7200 with a 200-500mm 5.6 fixed mounted .. and proceeded to shoot the scene ...hand holding with the setting between 1000mm and 600mm in camera crop ..

I'm not sure if this is better resolution than the original .., thnx all for the comments , hand holding a 500mm adjusted to between 500-1000mm with an object at that speed took 5 tries to get this shot ..
