Whoops. My experience. Took some pictures, did some travel with camera in the bag. Upgraded to 2.01 this morning. Whoops, shutter doesn't fire. Nothing apparent, replaced 2.00, shutter still doesn't fire. Another examination, why are seconds shown on screen? Whoops, the video/camera switch had gotten bumped to video. Oh well, moved switch to camera, upgraded to 2.01 again and all is well. Photos from Las Vegas Spring Preserve. In their gardens and inside the butterfly house. Z8, 24-200, 180-600.

Maybe you shoulda just kept it on video ?
All ankle deep in hummer snaps and insects, but video would maybe have been something refreshing ... and with audio !
With stills, youll just get moved over to the Gallery, and mixed in with those other stills, while videos would be really something else. Maybe the cosmos was dropping you a hint ?

Just because you can't do it doesn't mean other photogs shouldn't give it a try!
