I have this kit lens with my Canon 77d and it's a fine lens and have some printed 16 x 20, no issues at all. Enjoy

Good to hear. Actually, I have never had anything printed.

They all are nicely exposed, but, to me they do not look sharp. What camera did you use? What was your reason for picking this lens?

If it pleases you, that is all that matters.

Well, that's not good! I want to produce quality stuff. I'm using a Canon 90D. Reason for picking is I needed something beyond my Sigma 150-600 mm and the budget is tight.

Thanks for your feedback!

I like your photos and think you made a good choice in lenses. Your photos look pretty sharp with the exception of the truck. Colors look pretty much spot on. Congratulations on selecting a winner for you.

Not all are sharp. I don't think it is the lens though. Thanks

They are all very nice. Love the crimson clover. We have an abundance of it in NE Texas.

Well, I "purchased" a refurbished lens from Amazon to expand beyond my squirrel stuff.

Canon 18 -135 f/3.5- 5.6, Image Stabilization, USM. I realize it's not the best; however, this is within the budget at this stage. I have 30 days to try it, as it's a free return.

So I took it out for a spin to the nearby place where I did the signs. It's a nice place with beautiful trees, which I like photographing. While it was great to have a lens I could use to get these shots, I missed my other lens when I saw a bird and, yes, a squirrel! I confess when I played enough, I did switch back to my other, and yes, I got several pleasing squirrel shots.

I included the Robin, which was taken with the new lens because I liked that he had something in his mouth. Nice surprise when I discovered it when I edited it.

Your new lenses seems working well. Enjoy them

So here's what I did. I don't have much experience with this type of photography, so I gave it a try! Please feel free to comment.

Nice shots; might be spiced up a bit with color enhancement.
Do NOT put all the subjects in the center!!
Do not fall into the pixel peep trap.
Do revert when it feels good.

Ok, appreciate the suggestions. I did do some minimal enhancement, but I'm sorry, I need further explanation on pixel peep trash and revert.

Thanks!

I didn't want to sound critical! We are all working to be better photographers, practice, practice, practice and then learning from others. I still have a long way to go. Work with this lens and camera and you will get the photos you want. These photos had good composition. Keep at it and post more photos when you can. Thanks BE SAFE!!
