Has anyone tried this popcorn popper? Gets high raves from infomercials. I’m interested but have been quite disappointed with a few gadgets in the past.

A friend has the snack size. It's very tiny and leaves many kernels unpopped. If you're thinking of the larger size, you will need a fairly large microwave oven.

If you purchase on amazon, should be easy to return as it is sold and shipped by them directly.

Best way to pop from kernels I discovered: use heavy pot with cover, on stovetop. Use avocado oil. Use Bob's Red Mill White Popcorn. Simply salt to taste when done, don't add butter. Fantastic!!!

Yes, yes, YES!! .....for me and The Wife, we have moved on from the microwave popcorn stuff. Always seems to have unpoped or goofy things going on! ...and poor taste, to us. Sure, it's convenient, but to what end?!

We use the "Original Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker" (Amazon is yer friend!) stovetop and are VERY satisfied! Tastes like my Grammy used'ta make! We highly recommend!

If you have a Bass Pro Shop or a Cabela's near by check out the popcorn they sell. Comes with popcorn, seasoning and popcorn oil

In a pot on the stovetop. I've done it that way for about 60 years.

I prefer the Westbend Stir Crazy Popper. I munch on a lot of popcorn during the NHL playoffs, and many times I'll purchase the specialty containers when I go to the AMC nearby.
I have a large amount of popcorn and butter to enjoy.
I also have an air popper, but the additional flavor from the Westbend makes it worthwhile.
I have very few "old maids" after popping.

In the interest of not using so much oil, I have been using a hot air popper for the last couple of years (even bought them as Christmas gifts because it liked mine so much). Almost all kernels pop and you can use some butter-flavored spray and popcorn flavorings if you must. The unit does come with a "butter melter" which serves as a measuring device. fill the device and pour into the popper. Put the device in the top cover and put some butter in if you want. The corn pops, the butter melts at the same time. And, there's no messy pan or pot to clean, just the container for the popped corn.

I just cheat.
The plastic lid on the jar of kernels makes a good measure.
Place in paper bag, roll the top twice , nuke for 2 minutes.

A couple of years ago I downsized my microwave. No room to pop, unless very small (I tried)

I have one does a good job. You can add butter in top and start popping.

I have a hot air popcorn popper that I use to pop popcorn. I plug it in add the measured amount put a bowl under the spout. Turn it on and let it do its thing. Cost me $12.00 or $15.00 been awhile so I can’t recall the exact price. Easy to clean. No heavy lifting for me to make popcorn.😀
