Great find, Tom, and being a carpenter's son, it's easy to believe flatness.
Lines and detail.
Thanks, John.
I was thinking that you, like Frank, might shed some light on the siding as this shot shows. You're as deep into this barn stuff as I am but you have practical knowledge and experience...which I'm lacking. Thanks for contributing your thoughts.
Spending too much time at Universal??? Seriously, Tom, great shots of very, very interesting lines and construction, I really like it though it gave me a little vertigo...
I'm glad you stopped by. I really appreciate your remarks.
Thanks for visiting. I would guess the age dates back to the early 1900's. While I see a whole lot of really old barns and such, I don't have enough knowledge or experience to reliably nail down age specifics.
You don't think any of that bunch involved in the Roswell incident had anything to do with this old place, do you? If so, I'm never going near it again. On second thought, I may invite the Skinwalker Ranch boys over for a visit.
I promise you that everything you see here, excepting the recessed door, is on the exact same, perfectly flat plane.
Great photo! Few colors/ton, but right enough to render a very good contrast. I also prise the rythmus of the vertical/horizontal and "cross" alignement of the various planks. Alltogether, a very nice result!
Yes it is an interesting design and it looks to me like it could have been two different constructions. David
Thanks for visiting and commenting. This home was a one-time construction project. I was told by some local folks that the paved road was not there when the home was built. I'm going to post a shot of the entire home as another member has stated an interest in seeing it.
