The only two efforts needed to rationalize a lack of editing skill and still be considered a "photographer" is to touch your finger to the menu function button and choose not to save what is an automatic and an all inclusive RAW file.

The second is convincing others that they are wasting their time and storage space... and your idea of producing the final jpeg in camera is superior...

Imagine if you could have saved raw files taken during the 1970's and 80s'... what fun that would be today. There have been times that I re-edit photos a decade in age and chuckle at my earlier editing skills, but then so happy I kept the best data possible to re-work images worth the effort...

I hear you... A lot of my edits are done on older files... I really need to take a look at all the old slides sitting in carousels which have not been looked at for ages... prob. all faded .

The question was prompted by a comment in another thread.

INSTRUCTIONS: Post only ONE WORD: "RAW"; "JPEG"; or "BOTH".
No dissertations, no explanations as to why, no opinions, no recommendations,...
no matter how badly you feel you have to.

ANY response other than ONE of the three words will not be tallied.
