Nice, sharp images. I've seen a million of these birds and never noticed the orange color at the base of the bill. Perhaps I need glasses :)

I have seen this always but the cormorants are darker this year with more vibrant color. I thought maybe an over winter thing. Time will tell. Thanks for looking in & commenting
