In Germany they used the leaves on Pizza. Also, most of the plants were much taller. I've seen some tall ones here, but not like Germany. I assume all the mowing here has eliminated the genetically taller variety.

Nice images. Here in Texas we have them most of the year and they are not weeds but beneficial plants. Very edible, I love the flowers, yes I eat them and they are tasty. The leaves are very good too and the root is also good. It has been used for ??? just look it up for check out health food store , you will find Dandelion extracts and powders. They are everywhere here, hummm, making me hungry for some.
Bruce.

The leaves are often used to make Dandelion tea and the blooms can be battered and fried like okra or other veggies.

We see them as weeds, and usually get rid of them. The stem is not used, but every other part is edible, nutritious, and can used in various ways. But we don’t do that. Dandelion tea (or wine)- flowers, leaves-salad, roots cooked and/or ground up.
