I have this lens coupled to my D7200. It stays on that camera 90% of the time. The lens I am speaking about is the 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 GII ED. I find this lens to be very versatile and fairly sharp. Probably 90% of my posts on UHH come from this lens.

I have the G 'VR' version, not the GII. The G has an issue with lens creep if handled with the lens pointing down. A rubber band around the barrel solved that.
A far as I know fixing the lens creep was the only difference. The G lens I own came with a D300. The camera is gone but the lens is still with me. Like Don pointed out, it is a great combo with the D7200. It is a very versatile combination, with a small built in flash on the body.

I got that lens for my first DSLR, a D200. I used it for a few years until I got a D3. I had to get FX glass then so I sprung for a 70-200.
I found then that the 70-200 was noticeably sharper than the 18-200. But the 18-200 was a nice lens for flexibility and range. I got a 28-300, which the equivalent for FX. It’s great for casual work but for important shots I use the 24-70 or 70-200.
The biggest problem with the 18-200 was creep. I got a rubber band and put it around the lens barrel to minimize the creep.

I gave away the D200 and the lens to a kid who was interested in photography about 10 years ago.

I used to shoot that off my D7200 camera, it is a APS-C lens so the field of view would be about 27-300mm. I used it for vacations and travel, liked it a lot, nice range.

When I had a D7200 I also had that lens. Like you it was on most of the time. Great lens.
