These are really fun, Cindy. I had never done night skies before doing them in a Muench workshop. We used a lit tent as a foreground element in one of them with two exposures - one for the tent, one for the sky. In another location we did boulders and lit them (barely) with a penlight turned on red. I agree that the lighting is too bright. I really like the tree in the first one, but its having shadows seems odd to me. Since I've only done this once, I'm probably not the one to ask, but that's my take.
Fairly well done. I seem to like the last of the pictures the most.
It looks to me as if you did well!

We spent the last week camping and fishing at Holter Reservoir in Wolf Creek MT. I played around with night photography using a flashlight to help light up the foreground, never tried this before so comments and critique welcome.
Nikon D500, Sigma 18-50 lens, used the timer on the camera with a 30 second delay
I like the first image of dark sky stars.
