Anyone know where I can get a Win 7 ISO file ?

Want to keep a machine running Win 7 ... so I can run a CAD program that does not run on Win 10.

Does your computer have a license for Win7? What brand is it?

I have a number of Win7 Pro DVD but they are for HP computers that came with Windows 7 originally. They won't work on other brands or even HP if the computer didn't originally come with Windows 7

It's a disk image of a CD or DVD. They call it ISO because it conforms to the ISO 9660 standard.

.... and allows you to boot your machine and make a new install of operating system.

You should get a 8gb flash drive and do that now with Win 10.

Since I don't use Dell so I don't have the disks. But all Dell came with the disks and many just throw them away. A typical IT dept of a company would have tons of these so I think they sell a lot of them on Ebay. I have the HP disks because I got them from the IT dept.

Haha - Last time I needed a bootable disk it was on a 3-1/2" floppy, way before the existence of CDs.
For DOS. We just called it a boot disk.

Yeah I have plenty of them still. Even in 5.25" although I don't have a drive.
