Excellent set Tom, all we saw were thick clouds.

Thank you Sylvia! The local weather forecasters predicted doom and gloom as far as cloud cover was concerned, but I think God likes my wife. We had perfectly blue skies. It would have been o.k. anyway. Hot Springs is a big tourist trap for their natural spas and parks.

Anyway, that's what they call it.

Your diamond is over exposed. So next eclipse bracket again but start with less exposure.
Here is mine from 2017

Mine is just fine. I processed it the way I wanted to for display. Sorry.

That's nice. I use my artistic license as I see it. No big deal. If you are trying to help, that is nice also. I had a blast. My 2017 pics turned out rather well also. I was lucky enough to be in the zone of totality with that one also.

Back surgery prevented me from traveling to this one and I was very disappointed not to see totality again.
Eclipses are a true wonder

You know, I got to see the the total eclipse in 2017 also. I need to look and see if I got the diamond ring at that one. I have so many saved files on so many drives, I need to do some hunting. Oh, and let me guess. A blown out disk?

Sorry I hurt your feelings, I've seen from my astronomy club a bunch of diamond rings. It's a delicate balance between the "money* shot and a blow out. I don't post process a lot but everyone has the right to process as they wish.

Ha, ha! No. You did not hurt my feelings one bit. Not even close. Ha, ha! I was in a hurry because I have people (relatives) who say my photos are always too dark. These were a compromise. You had to be there. Let me take another look at the originals and see what I did to them and I will posts those for you. It is interesting that you mention post processing because I hate it with a passion. I always try to get it right in the camera. That way, Less time in post.
