Great set of images. It is a weird world when you need to sit there with a deadly weapon and be ready to kill a human at a moment’s notice just so your wife can do her job.
What have we come to

Thanks for looking and commenting Schoee. It is a sad state of affairs we find ourselves in

To Cahale, Dennis, Keith

I don't post pictures if guns. It is a stock looking, 45 ACP Springfield Arms "Range Officer", with some internal modifications and a 10 round magazine.

Thanks. That tells me all I needed to know. My 1911-A1 is a stock Series 70 with James Hoag installed a S&W K frame rear target sight and a built up front sight. I also had a Commander hammer installed. It was a common combat type modification in the early 70's that would give the standard 1911 adjustable sights but not the type common at the time like the Bomar or Micro type target sights that stood too high above the slide. I carried it as my off duty gun for years and still carry it from time to time.

Beautiful set, Jack. My house gun is a custom range queen Staccato 2011 double-stack. Allows me time to get to the Bennelli Combat shotgun in the closet. Wait! I never allow strangers in the house.

Mighty fine weapons you have there. You did good!

My wife is a tax accountant who works from home. We will have a constant stream of strangers entering our home until midnight on Monday. I therefore sit in front of my computer, 1911A1 on my belt from dawn to dark and beyond. Not even getting a morning walk until April 16.

From the archives.
