My knowledge of desert life is superficial, at best. I find your work in that environment to be not only beautiful, but educational as well.

Thanks, Tom! I used to live in the American Southwest. Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. And still have family here. It's nice to be back, even if temporarily! Like any place, there is more than meets the eye, unless one is willing to learn something about their surroundings!
I'm glad that you are enjoying my desert sojourn.

A green Saguaro is a happy Saguaro. Nice photo of a special place.

Well captured! I visited Saguaro National Park some years ago and as a New Englander, I expected just a lot of sand and rocks with a few stray cactuses. Instead, I found a surprisingly dense variety of plants. While the plants are certainly adapted to hot, dry conditions, the desert is lush in it's own way and your image shows that nicely.

Thanks, Doc. Yeah, we got three days (!) of rain, so we knew that the desert was going to go crazy!

Thanks very much! Yeah, New Englanders have lot's of strange expectations. (My wife is from Boston!) When the desert gets rain, even a small amount, it gets put to good use. And fast! When it gets three days of rain, it explodes!
I'm glad you liked this shot.
