I love the picture of the petals on the ground. It's beautiful. It reminds me of our palo verde trees in the spring which carpet our streets and lawns with yellow! I know several have said they want more of the tree. I don't think it's about the tree. It's about the carpet of petals, and that's beautifully displayed.

I am interested in the picture of the hops. It appears to have something planted between the rows of vine strings. Is that double cropping or simply conservation planting?

I like them all. Nice compositions Linda. I especially like the layering effect in #1.

Thanks so much, Kathy. I was very pleased to see that amount of petals on the ground and felt it told a story of how fleeting is the time of our beautiful spring - and of all life.

Re the hops, it's the first time I remember anything planted between the rows like that. I will surely investigate further because my interest is piqued. Maybe it is about water and soil conservation as you suggest, based on this harvest photo from 2016: https://static.uglyhedgehog.com/upload/nt/2016/9/8/286347-2_img_8873_1a.jpg

Thank you, Tim! I'm trying to figure out the best way to show these patterns, so am pleased that the vineyard shot caught your eye.

Agree with others on 2 and 4. Very nice. Do you need permission to go out into the fields in Yakima?

The leading lines in #2 led me so far away I got lost.

I like the way #2 leads the eye into the picture!

"No trespassing" signs are posted everywhere. I wouldn't attempt, especially given how often they are working on one thing or another (prune, spray, thin, pick...on and on).

Appreciate your comments, Mark!

LOL, no worries. That horizontal textured dark mass at the end of the row is a steep, sage-brush covered hill. If the climb doesn't kill you, the rattlesnakes might

Thanks very much, Frank. I'm attempting to learn how best to shoot patterns of the various agricultural scenes. #1 is busy indeed.

Here's a different tree shot vertically. This is sooc raw, with minimal ACR processing in PS Elements, just to see if I could do it For me, it doesn't have much impact due to small blossoms and side lighting, though viewed larger maybe OK. I didn't take a vertical shot of the posted scene.

Thanks again for your time and interest!

Even without heavy PP I like it. Shows more of the trees surrounding. The pedals on the ground reminds me almost like a reflection of the pedals on the tree.

Enjoyed the different stories in them all. The first ones speaks of tension, oblique lines of graphics and colors. The second of plants growing taller than I am, the 3rd of textures, hard stones, prickly plants and further out soft blossoms of blooming trees and the last of the season to come.
