A few days ago I saw (another) article about the celebrated 1932 B/W photo title “ Lunch atop a Skyscraper”… IronWorkers having lunch on a steel beam, Photographer unknown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunch_atop_a_Skyscraper
OK, it’s 2024, while doing some PP for resent shoot, I came across a bunch of photos in my 2018 archives of Art of Construction that reminded me of the daring “WORK” that IronWorkers actually perform. Here’s a few shots of IronWorkers dismantling a section (brace) of the Tower Crane...Lunch came later

Spectacular series! I can't imagine these pp'd in any other style: detailed, gritty, stomach-churning but can't look away!

Excellent photos, and B&W is the perfect way to depict that precarious occupation.
I have a bad case of acrophobia, and even though just looking at these photos gives me the willies, I can’t not look they are so good.

Here's some more teamwork; same Crane on a different day, different section being removed; and different photo perspective... By the way, there were no accidents on this site! (I think IronWorker are a breed apart )
