Hello, Hogs! I thought I would scoot by for a moment and introduce myself. My name is Trendy. I'm one of your photographer's latest models. We decided on that name due to my unique tail. Talk about having a bad hair day! How about a bad tail day? As you might imagine, I am a bit camera-shy and a bit embarrassed by my tail. Some squirrels can be real bullies! But, hey, that's life! I look at it this way, my tail is different, which makes me unique, and that's good! While I admit a fluffy tail would be nice, on a winter's day, it does have its advantages. While the other squirrels constantly groom and fuss with their tails, I'm the wash-and-wear type of squirrel. I have more time to run and play!
I live on the photographer’s side of the complex, so I've seen her working with some of my friends. You may have met one of them. Miss Pool. She’s known for her fantastic elevator poses on the rock wall and, later, the rocks. She's a sweetheart and told me the photographer is nice and I should give her a chance. I told her I wasn’t sure I could do that but said I’d consider it. Well, it appears this photographer has figured out where I like to hang out, and when she saw me, she was nice and even talked to me and offered me some peanuts. While a peanut would have been a great treat, I ran! Yeah, I chickened out. What do I know about modeling, and who wants to see a squirrel with my tail when some beautiful squirrels are out here? My photographer, however, is very determined, and when she saw me again, she kept talking to me. She said she liked my tail and that I should be proud of it. She said she had some peanuts and left me some. I thought that was considerate, so I decided to give it a shot the next time I saw her! You know what, guys? It was fun. Now, I’ve grown to enjoy these sessions. She's easy to work with, and all I need to be myself, and I get peanuts. Go figure! Currently practicing mugging for the camera!
So, we decided to share some of my first shots. She told me it was OK that they weren't perfect, and her work wasn't great when she first started. The other day, she even said that I'm a really good model!
Look out world, here comes Trendy! I'm grateful to my photographer for her encouragement and belief in me. It's made all the difference, and here I am, making my debut on the Hog! I hope you will enjoy following my career!
Got to go for now! I need to practice my somersaults, summer is coming!
Definitely a different tail! Mange? You did a great job working with him.
I don't know if I would be more embarrassed having a tail like that or just from HAVING a tail!
